About Us

A Mission of St. John's Episcopal Church, Browse 'N Buy is a thrift retail store whose purpose is to assist the Jackson community. We stock a wide selection of affordable necessities such as clothing and household items. The store also has a selection of reasonably-priced luxury goods such as designer shoes and handbags and a variety of outdoor gear.

Last year, your donations helped people in our community access the career, family, and financial support services they needed to succeed. Your impact does not end there – the planet also benefits when you choose to donate your item. We strive to keep clothing and household items out of landfills.

Our motto is “reuse, repurpose, recycle” and the goal is to sell as many of the gifted items as possible to those in need of good quality affordable clothing and household goods.

If it cannot be reused or repurposed – an article of clothing with a broken zipper or tear, a book with a torn page, a small appliance that does not work properly – it's recycled, if possible. Last year, the store redirected 111 tons of clothing to the Recycling Center, diverting this material from the waste stream.

Our two-fold mission remains – to regularly stock a wide selection of affordable necessities in addition to a selection of reasonably-priced luxury goods AND to raise funds to support community outreach programs.
